Want to try your hand at being a naturalist in the great outdoors? Do you have any idea what’s hiding just a stone’s throw from your house? Join us to discover places you thought you already knew. With zoologist and ecologist Jerguš Tesák, you’ll learn lots of new interesting facts about the local fauna and flora. You’ll discover the secrets of the old forest, track animals, set up photo traps and thanks to them you’ll see what life in the forest is like when we’re not looking.

… one of the inhabitants of the forests of Laskomer is the lynx?
… in the 18th century, greasers were active in the forests of Laskomer, and we can still trace their marks on the trees after the resin was hollowed out?
… at the end of the 19th century, a water supply system was built here, which was the only one to supply Banská Bystrica with drinking water until 1950?
These and many other tidbits you will learn on the walk. You’ll even take home a little souvenir.
The number of places is limited (min. 7, max. 10 persons). Tickets must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. The experience is suitable for persons aged 8 years and over.

This is a hiking walk, we recommend hiking boots (or at least sturdy sports shoes), clothing appropriate for the season (even clothing for inclement weather, raincoat in case of rain), hiking poles, plenty of fluids and something to nibble on. If you have binoculars, bring them, you’ll definitely use them. Bring a headlamp for the Friday dates just in case.
