Sliač Spa

Sliač spa are unique thanks to the mineral thermal water with a high carbon dioxide content and an isothermal water temperature of 33.2 °C. A total of 5 springs spring up in this area, each with a specific indication for treatment: Spa spring, Štefánik spring, Bystrica spring, Lenkey spring and Adam spring. The spas play an irreplaceable role in the treatment of both chronic diseases and unpredictable events. They also serve as a great prevention of more serious diseases. Hence in the past some celebrities like king Matej Korvín, first president of Czechoslovakia T. G. Masaryk or serbian queen Natalie came to be treated here.

Sliač spa is spread on the area of 46 hectars. You can find there spa houses, thermal pool, tennis courts and above all beautiful english garden growing to large park.

The dominant of the area is the national cultural monument Spa Hotel Palace *** built in the functionalism style. Its capacity represents 350 beds. Then you will find there 2 dining halls, restaurant, café, theatre and a big hall for social events. That is in these premises that various cultural and musical performances are organized during summer. They are accessible not only to spa guests but also to the public.
