A unique unbaked sweet invented by the trained confectioner Alojz Atkáry. Although the family confectionery was lost during the communist regime, the good people have fortunately taken care of a replica of the old confectionery workshop. The whole restoration process took them half a year and they did not leave out any detail. They even had period costumes sewn, „fired up“ the old radio, and officially started production at the end of 2019. The family recipe is admittedly secret but composed with several identifiable layers. Atkáry’s krumpel (potato, bandurka, grule) is actually an oval-shaped biscuit coated in bitter cocoa and filled with two kinds of creams. The confectionery is located on the floor above the Kremnica Information Center. This original confection will fill your sweet tooth and is not to be missed when visiting the town.
