Lišov Museum

Lišov Museum consists of three parts, a traditional house from 1916, a Celtic dwelling and a mask gallery with about 400 masks from all over the world. You will also find a souvenir shop on this site.

Gallery of Masks

Gallery of Masks is the first gallery in Slovakia, from the collector M.D. Clark, where you can find more than 400 masks from all over the world. The gallery includes a small shop where you can find unique handmade products from Lišov and the surrounding area. In addition, you can stroll through a room full of fantastic old African, Asian, modern European masks, masks from America, and of course those from Slovenia. Let yourself be surprised!

The Lišov Room

The Lišov Room, also called Lišovská chyža, is a house made of stone, built around 1916. From the front, the house is decorated with cross-stitch embroidery, the original of which can be found in the interior. The house also serves as a small ethnographic museum. Come and reminisce with us about the ‚good old days‘.

The Celtic dwelling

The construction of the Celtic dwelling began in the summer of 2016. It was built by students from England, Romania and Germany during an exchange stay in Lišov. The dwelling is made of wood, the walls are made of clay plaster, interwoven with hazel. What is exceptional is that the building is constructed without a single nail.
