Skalka near Kremnica
Fill your summer or winter with experiences, which you will experience in the Skalka resort thanks to its rich possibilities. In the embrace of the Kremnica Mountains, beautiful nature and a wide range of activities for the whole family await you.
During the SUMMER and FALL the resort is visited mainly thanks to the famous via ferrata area. Since 2017, the town of Kremnica has built a diverse network of ferrata trails, which are popular with adrenaline sports enthusiasts. Visitors will find 2 areas – Ferrata Komín and Via Ferrata World. The routes are differentiated according to the difficulty and technical ability of the climbers. You will find here the longest rope bridge at a height of 40 meters above the ground, a rope net with a depth of 37 meters or via ferrata F-ÚHA – difficulty „F“ with a length of 45 m and an overhang of 11 m. This is the most difficult ferrata route in Slovakia, which is recommended only for experienced climbers. There is also the possibility of renting a ferrata climbing kit in the Relax Center directly at Skalka. More information and news can be found here. Entrance to the ferrata routes is free of charge. From November to June, all routes are closed for nature protection and safety reasons.

Skalka has been a popular ski resort in winter for several decades. The Skalka Arena resort offers more than 5 km of ski slopes, including two blue, four red and two black. The cross-country skiing trails at Skalka, which meet international criteria and are suitable for both beginners and enthusiasts of this classic sport, are becoming more and more popular every year. The White Track endurance race, which is held on the last weekend in January, has also maintained its tradition here. Excellent snow conditions, groomed trails and a panorama like something out of a winter fairy tale guarantee a pleasant cross-country skiing experience. Fans of ice climbing will find one of the largest icefalls in Slovakia at Skalka.
After an active day, recharge your batteries in the Relax Center, where a water world, wellness, bowling and massages await you. In addition, you will also find a fitness room, gym, outdoor playgrounds and an inline track. Accommodation options in the resort are offered by the Pension Guldiner, which provides guests with high-quality and first-class services in winter and summer. It also includes a restaurant or access to the aforementioned relaxation center.
