Kráľova studňa is a hill of Veľká Fatra – „the pearl of Veľká Fatra“, known mainly as the starting point of various hiking trails in this national park. The Kráľova Studňa Mountain Hotel is located on the site, which offers its visitors a wide range of activities and services depending on the season (in winter, for example, skiing or ski mountaineering instructor, in summer, ridge hikes and mountain guide, bicycle rental, etc.). From Kráľová studni it is also possible to hike to the Krížna hill, which is one of the most famous of the hills of Veľká Fatra. Krížna with its accessible location offers tourists a 360° view of the surrounding peaks of Mala Fatra, Choč Hills, Western Tatras, High Tatras, Poľana and Štiavnica Mountains. During the winter season, however, increased caution is necessary, as the area is one of the avalanche terrains.

It is possible to get to the top of Kráľová studňa (location basically identical with Kráľová skala) using different routes:

• the red sign (Cesta hrdinov SNP) from Krížná, or following the red sign from Horské hotel Kráľova studňa
• the yellow sign from Blatnica through Gaderská and Dedošova valleys
• the green sign from Blatnica, through Blatnická doliná
• the green sign from Staré hory, through Turecká
