Pension Klopačka
Pension Klopačka in the famous mining village of Špania Dolina provides accommodation and catering. There is also an exposition of Špania Dolina’s lace.
Pension Klopačka is located in the historic building of the miners‘ knocker in the picturesque village of Špania Dolina. The historic, 620-year-old building originally served as the headquarters of the mining administration. Its wooden tower housed a sound signaling device called a „knocker“, which was used to summon miners to work – hence the name „Klopačka“. The building has a Renaissance engraved painted decoration on the facade. In 1996, the Klopačka underwent a complete reconstruction and modernization, which allowed it to shine in its full glory and at the same time meet the demanding requirements of today’s customers.
Pension Klopačka offers accommodation in single to quadruple rooms. There is a restaurant furnished in a pleasant, homely style. In the summer months you will find a covered garden with a barbecue and a fireplace.
After a good lunch, you can linger in the Klopačka for a while. There is an exhibition of traditional Špania Dolina’s bobbin lace.
here is a unique miners‘ clock near the guesthouse. The astronomical clock resembles a closed rock wall and will show you what the hard work of miners in the depths of the Špania Dolina’s copper mine must have been like. (Temporarily out of order).
